Structure
The Corpus Rubenianum Ludwig Burchard catalogue project numbers 29 parts, spanning 46 titles. Volumes that were published at least 15 years ago can be dowloaded here in pdf format and a full-text search of these volumes is possible. Furthermore, most of the titles are available in printed copy for purchase or consultation in the Rubenianum reading room and can be ordered by clicking the red links.
The index of each volume can be consulted as a separate pdf document, enabling a researcher to study the text and the index side by side. At the bottom of the list of titles is a cumulative index covering all the volumes.
An asterisk beside a title indicates a volume of which all the artworks discussed are up-to-date, illustrated and enriched with data from the documentation on works of art in the database RKDimages. Catalogue notes include links to this up-to-date information and extra illustrations in RKDimages. There you will find a bibliography and provenance data that were not yet available when the book was published. The color reproductions are an improvement on the black and white images in the printed volumes. Also included are images of works of art that are not illustrated in the book.
Future plans
The grey titles and titles without asterisk will be published and digitized over the next few years. The catalogue entries will be systematically enriched and brought up-to-date. The Rubenianum keeps the public informed on this work-in-progress through its electronic newsletters Rubenianum Collections Newsletter and The Rubenianum Quarterly.
